The Technology Behind Red Grid
Phone-to-Phone Field Link
Teammates auto-discover and sync over a direct device-to-device link: no router, no tower, no server. Position updates stay fast and lightweight even on a crowded channel.
Military-Grade Encryption
Every position, marker, and message is sealed with AES-256-GCM and a fresh key for each session. Nothing is stored on a server, and keys are discarded when the session ends.
MGRS Navigation Engine
10-digit Military Grid Reference System precision. 1-meter accuracy. The same coordinate system used by NATO forces worldwide.
Offline Maps
Download the maps for your area before you head out and navigate fully offline: no signal required once the tiles are cached.
Zero Footprint Architecture
